We are deeply saddened to learn of the death of Edna van Duyn, who was associated with de Appel as publisher and editor of artists' books and catalogues.

For the second chapter of The body as teacher, de Appel collaborated with artist and performer Nina Glockner. For 'de Appel features' we engaged in conversation with her about the role of education programmes within cultural institutions, and artistic processes and interactive performances as a means of creating alternative languages to express oneself.

De Appel is deeply saddened by the death of Ilya Kabakov.
